One More Sleep

For the past three days, I have been trying to prepare my stuff to bring for my summer holiday in France. I made a checklist  so that I make sure I don't forget anything like presents, my favorite books, my laptop, tablet etc. It is mind blowing as I want to bring everything but I have limited amount of weight in my suitcase. I don't want to pay expensive excess luggage fee.

One more sleep.....that's what I am thinking right now. One more sleep before I take the plane and spend more than 24 hours to get into my final destination. From Tahiti to Los Angeles to Paris and then Geneva.

I am so excited and can hardly wait to see my grandchild Lena. I have just seen her last night thru skype and she's really a darling. I will be spending few days with the kids before going down south to join the family for the summer holiday. 

It was last March the last time I was with them and it was just like eternity. It's such a long wait and we live so far. This summer holiday, my stay will take me a little longer over there and have enough time to bond with the family and friends.

I have talked with my mom-in-law and we have already set a date to hold a party where everyone will be around except Greg who will join us later.

We have already been asked to do the babysitting job as Greg and Cynthia will be spending 3 days "en amoureux" somewhere in the south. We readily accepted the task and we are very very excited to have the baby  Lena just for us. She'll be certainly pampered and spoiled!

Summer will surely be so much fun. Friends and family members come and go. Pierre has announced that he is inviting friends. And Cynthia and Marie-Anne will certainly invite friends as well. We are full of surprises at times!

The  grandparents' summer house will be "full" and we have to make sure that there's enough supply of food and drinks as everyone has the tendency to consume more. We don't worry that much as chef Mathieu will be on a rescue! He makes magic out of what's left over in the fridge. When he is around, he assures the

the most important part of the day.....the family meal! Thank you Mathieu.

Tonton Jean, Philippe's uncle has aleady made the boat available ready for sailing and picknicking in bain D'arguin or in L'ile aux Oiseaux.. We are just hoping that we'll have sunny and pleasant weather this summer.

I am really excited to leave. Just one more sleep. Like a little child waiting for the special day to come. Yes, one more sleep and here I come!
